Summary/Abstract: The article insists over the evolution of the political and diplomatical relations between Romania and Italy during the period 1866-1880, presenting some major events: the Romanian recognition of the unification of Italy, the establishment of the Italian capital at Rome and the diplomatic efforts of Italy for recognition of the Romanian independence.
