Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to reconstruct the creation and analyse the activity and strategy of the Munk’s Studio, created in 2008 by the Polish Filmmakers Association. The basic research question posed by the author of the text concerns the dialogue on film production between the generations, whose representatives were the initiators behind the opening of the studio dedicated to the production of work by young film directors. So how does the idea of Munk’s Studio correspond with the – meritorious for the history of Polish cinema – film institutions, such as Film Groups, Karol Irzykowski Film Studio or Film Studio for the Young named after Andrzej Munk, and operating at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s in the structures of Polish Television?
