Summary/Abstract: Seasonality is relatively regular changes in economic variables in short-term. In empirical studies, the seasonality aspect is omitted or eliminated from time series. The aim of the study is to analyze the variation in seasonality of the average number of employees in the enterprisesector in Poland. It is attempted to determine the size and tendency of changes in the seasonality of average employment in the enterprise sector and their distribution during the year. The subject of the analyzes is also a comparison of seasonal fluctuations in average employment estimated for Poland with seasonal fluctuations in average employment in the voivodship markets. The study uses the quarterly data on the average number of employees in the enterprise sector for Poland and for voivodship markets. The analysis period concerned from 2008 to 2016. The data comes from the Central Statistical Office in Poland. A Census X-12 ARIMA models was used to decompose the seasonal component. The obtained results indicate that the seasonality of average employment in the enterprise sector in Poland is small, it is characterized by a growing tendency. The distribution of fluctuations in seasonal employment in the enterprise sector during the year in Poland and in selected voivodships is similar. In some voivodships there is no seasonality of average employment in enterprises sector.
