Summary/Abstract: The study identifies key difficulties related to determining the impact of information innovations on the labour market. The consequences of these changes are corrected by the traditional canons of employment and work, which were created in the industrial era. These developments are particularly marked in financial intermediation and banking. Reintermedia and digitization of customer service allowed to use outsourcing and development of indirect service distribution channels. Increasingly, customers are being served on their own. In the financial services sector, the structure of employment is changing. Intermediaries are becoming increasingly important and banks, which in the future will be decision-making and organisational centres, are becoming increasingly less important. Decentralisation of customerservice is underway, combined with centralisation of management. This has a strong impact on the labour market. The changes concern: the work itself, employers and employees.
