Summary/Abstract: Public emancipatory pedagogy, unitary thought and ideological vulnerability of the subject, are some of the main characteristics of the political and social universe of modernity. Conventional media, namely newspapers, radio and later television, are the ideal narrators of this logic. Under the orchestration of politics, the power efficiency of these media became a contaminating force of the social environment, mainly because of their weak points, such as their technicality and lack of space of interference by the subject. The second part of this paper aims to highlight the decline of emancipatory pedagogy and the emergence of the field of individual freedom of the communicative subject. It all happens at the beginning of the twenty-first century, precisely as a result of technology transformations in the field of mass communication. In virtual societies, the importance of information and communication through the conventional media is shifting to social platforms where it is possible to manage space and privacy as well as organize them according to individual will, however, not to the full vulnerability of the subject. Nevertheless, at this point here we are concerned with the freedom of action, selection of information, and the field in which the subject realizes its freedom.
