Summary/Abstract: The article aims at discussing the issue of security, its contents and the directions of its evolution with reference to the state, especially relating to national politics, to the external environment and the decisionmakers. The article emphasizes the role of the political paradigm, which lays the basis and guides the activity of a society, in society’s political construction, including the security one.
