Summary/Abstract: Transport by pipelines is a result of technological progress. In present days, it is also a global policy tool. The development of this branch was made possible by technological progress through researchers in the field of strength of materials. Technological advances offer clear and visible benefits to modern society, but a price is reached that touches the moral side of man.
