Summary/Abstract: The book PWN published by the PWN in 2015. Research and development in transnational corporations by prof. dr hab. Krystyna Poznańska and dr. Kamila M. Kraja is an analysis of the relevant and current subject of research and development carried out by transnational corporations. The authors showed that global economic changes at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries - including liberalization of trade and capital flows, scientific and technical progress, increasing openness of economies - have led to a significant evolution in global research and development. Intensification and internationalization of R & D works coordinated by KTN was a derivative of, among others, increasing international competitive pressure and the growing importance of knowledge as a strategic resource of the company. The significant importance of TCN in the globalization process and their intensive involvement in R & D activities have made these entities the leading centers of innovation and key knowledge depositors in the global economy. Thus, the publication on the subject of R & D in transnational corporations concerns momentous issues of economic theory and practice and appears at the moment that enabled the Authors to synthesize the transformations of important economic processes.
