Summary/Abstract: The article discusses issues related to the transformation of the management of Information services departments to a service management model. A research for the state of the art of IT service management (ITSM) is presented. The results of the identification of the main problems of the implementation, use and development of ITSM are analyzed and directions and ways to overcome them are proposed.
