Summary/Abstract: After it was founded the National Library in Sofia began searching and collecting all published materials in Bulgarian language - newspapers and other periodicals, brochures, maps, books. This paper publishes for the first time two reports by Pencho Slaveykov and by Dr. Ivan Dimitrov which give evidence of the diligent work in acquiring valuable library materials.
