Summary/Abstract: Patriarch Photios was one of the twelve scholars of the first millennium, the ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople honored seat. Pastor twice by switching dynasty in Byzantium and came to an end unfair, but excelled in recovering memories of the past, the monumental opera Library, the works of ancient or early Christian era, both secular and religious, were recirculated. Some were just mentioned, others commented, but there are some completely played, as can be seen in the 280 codices. His gift was to revive the spirit of academic Byzantium.University of Constantinople was re-established and the ninth century, although politically troubled century renaissance was a Greek-Christian culture. It was the century of great Christianization and because of work, mission and ministry of the great patriarch, scholar Photios, today honored among the saints.
