Reasons why Mioriţa is not a piece of folklore

Summary/Abstract: Based on Al. Bulandra’sresearch, this paper attempts to show not necessarly that Mioriţa is one of Alecsandri’sliterary products, but that it is not a folkloric piece. Moreover, its not being a folkloricpiece is merely a concequence of the fact that, considering all the arguments of Bulandra’swork, the irrefutable conclusion is that Mioriţa cannot be a folkloric piece. Nevertheless, thapaper also anounces a schortcoming of his theory, that will be aproached in ourfourthcoming study on the topic.
