Summary/Abstract: Family businesses are the subject of intense and growing interest on the part of the practice as well as science. The family businesses play a significant role in a market economy and that are present in many areas of the economy. Increasingly, entrepreneurs come to the conclusion that the cooperation and agreement brings mutual benefits to all partners. Family businesses can strengthen their competitive position through chain and franchise. The aim of this paper is to provide family businesses, which have become known chains or are developing on the basis of franchising. The paper presents the family businesses from different industries whose have achieved success and become well-known brands.
