Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: Recognition of values which, in the belief of students of the first and last year of full-time studies at public universities, are valued by employers in the contemporary labor market. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The main problem is the search for answers to the question of values esteemed by employers on the labor market while according to young academics. Therefore, after analyzing the literature of the subject, a survey questionnaire was constructed, which, as a research tool, was used to carry out my research. In the article we also used the results of secondary research. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The starting point in this publication is an analysis of the literature on the labor market and the situation of young people in this market. Next, the need for continuous learning of the individual and various aspects of the concept of “value” were demonstrated. The final part of the study demonstrates the conducted reasoning and the analysis of my own research results. RESEARCH RESULTS: The results of the research indicate which management values and the employers’ values are important for employers in the labor market, and therefore, can guide the process of teaching the right attitudes and behaviors at work. Studies have shown that students feel differently about the values they hold in high regard in the labor market. The students considered the most appreciated value by employers on the labor market to be creative problem solving, while the least one was – creating space for their own development. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The exposition that has been made allows for the general conclusion, which is, that the values esteemed by employers for first year undergraduates differ slightly from those of the last year undergraduate students of public universities.
