Summary/Abstract: The aim of the publication is to present mentoring as one of the methods of developing the potential of employees in an organization. In the theoretical part the essence of mentoring is shown, as well as issues of cooperation between the mentor and dependents, and also the advantages and disadvantages of individual and group mentoring. In the practical part, the article presents the mentoring process in a selected construction company, which has the characteristics of a knowledge-based organization. These characteristics include, among other things: the ability of continuous learning and the sharing of knowledge the ability to acquire knowledge (its enrichment, applications) and the use of experience to create new knowledge.
