Summary/Abstract: Due to new legal norms introduced in the recent years, psychology and sexology expert witnesses have become an important element of criminal sexual conduct cases.The aim of this article is to present the characteristics of the job of a psychology and sexology expert witness in the context of court opinions, professional responsibility, and diagnostic difficulties that result from the lack of standardized tools.Due to the consequences of the opinions given by a psychology and sexology expert witness, it should be underlines that the experts should be well-educated and aware of the importance of their judgment, especially in case of crimes against sexual freedom.
