Summary/Abstract: The growing number of sports mass events in Poland for last few years, as well as the growing tourist traffic, has prompted the authors to identify key premises for the recognition of sports mass events as attractive products significantly affecting the development of tourism in Poland. To achieve the aim of the work, methods of passive observation and statistical analysis using secondary sources were used. Research indicates many factors that support mass sports events can significantly affect the development of tourism in the region where they take place. Research and inference focuses on the analysis of sports mass events in Poland compared to other events, the analysis of the number of participants and the number of tourists in Poland in 2013-2016. The article is a review and at the same time presents a certain concept of research on the development of tourism in the regions using mass sports events.
