Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present a significant role of crowd funding for the young generation. It is a new way of gathering money via the Internet, which is perceived as an alternative for young people with aspirations. While implementing their plans they can request financial support from the virtual community rather than their parents. In the article the particular attention was paid to the mechanism of crowd funding, its terminology and history.
