Summary/Abstract: Dynamic changes, such as globalization, virtualization, and population ageing, occurring on labor markets, require a novel approach to human resources management, and consequently an in-depth reflection upon values dominating and those which ought to dominate the field. The paper presents approaches to the issue of general and vocational values presented in the literature of the subject. In addition, the paper discusses the role of values and their understanding in the practice of human resources management. Moreover, authors of the paper detail results of own studies conducted by means of a diagnostic poll among age-diversified employees of 57 innovative Polish companies.
