Summary/Abstract: Sensitivity and empathy are ones of the characteristics that are desirable by any organization from a manager, in the context of his competencies. The increase in the level of competencies, especially of the managerial staff, should provide tremendous opportunities in difficult times for the organizations, regarding the management of the diversity. The purpose of this article is to present the author's thoughts on the manager's sensitivity to the management of the diversity in the organization. Attention was focused on the characteristics of his sensitivity and the explanation what the management of diversity means. The characteristics of the manager's personal skills presented in the article are the evidence that nowadays the manager is forced to „change the costumes” and should be sensitive to the diversity of the organization.
