Summary/Abstract: The objective of this study is to develop the strategy for local economic development (LED) based on coconut commodity. Previous studies did not explain in detail how should a commodity can improve welfare. By using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), LED strategy resulting order of priority are to increase productivity, increased revenues, employment, institutional development and empowerment.
