Therefore, this subject is often discussed in the public discourse. It is believed, however, that this complex and multi-faceted phenomenon may contribute to the growth of well-being and improvement of the life quality of societies. The older part of society is a large and constantly growing segment of many consumer markets, and the increase of the life expectancy of the population brings further opportunities for economic, social and cultural development. In this context, the assumptions of the silver economy concept in the socio-economic development of modern countries may be important, as they are a kind of undertaken actions that on one hand may support new products and services to improve the quality of life of older people, and on the other may focus on activities supporting entrepreneurship of older people and maintaining their professional activity on the labour market the longest it is possible.
