Summary/Abstract: In 1796 Dr. Samuel Hahnemann founded homeopathy as a holistic medical method based on rigorous scientific principles, which are synthesized in the „The Organon of Medicine“. The historical review of homeopathy in Bulgaria starts with the homeopathic set of the German company „Dr. Willmar Schwabe „, which is kept at the Museum of History of Medicine in Varna. The first Bulgarian medical doctor-homeopath Dr. Mirkovic is presented. The dynamic development of homeopathy in the first half of the 20th century was interrupted by the political events in 1944 in Bulgaria. The first educational course organized in 1992 in Sofia, by the London Royal College of Classical Homeopathy revived homeopathy in Bulgaria. Important events that highlight the modern development of homeopathy in Bulgaria are marked. There is still much work to be done to determine the place and importance of homeopathy as a therapeutic and scientific method in the field of public health in Bulgaria.
