Summary/Abstract: Currently, there are few studies that are addressed to the family business and the role of women as registration forms of decisions in the family farm due to their low participation in this sector and their collaboration within the company is justified more for family issues, than their participation as founders, members or managers. The objective of the study is to identify the role of women as decision makers and axes of change within the agricultural family business, as well as their role in developing better management and innovation. The research was carried out in the province of Almería with a random sampling by conglomerates or area and a total of 55 owners of agricultural family businesses were surveyed. The results indicate that the participation of women in the company as a worker allows us to know the processes that facilitate decision making. Therefore, when a woman works in the family farm generates changes in the same, being the generational a determining aspect, women decision makers who work in the company have experience in activities concerning the type of production which facilitates the taking of decisions
