Summary/Abstract: The paper presents issues related to the transport insurance market in Poland. The source materials constituted data of the Central Statistical Office. The study period covered the 2006–2015. The market on the supply side was quite stable, there were no sudden changes in the number of companies and its structure. In the paper was analyzed the changes in the number, value of transport insurance and their share in insurance in Section II. The changes in insurance in road transport were more correlated with changes in the economic situation, than in insurance in other branches. The reason for such dependence was the dominating share of car transport in total transport.
