Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the paper is to examine the role and importance of intermodal transport in international trade between China and the European Union from the Polish perspective. Analysed are market changes in years 2003-2016, from the viewpoint of trade, infrastructure and transport demand. Indicated are also main challenges and perspectives for further intermodal cargo market development.
