Summary/Abstract: When we face a language contact, in immigration context, languages of a person do not keep their standard definitions (mother tongue, foreign language, etc.). In this article, we would like to analyse the impact of a language, considered at the beginning as a foreign language, on the mother tongue. In order to study the verbal communication of Portuguese speakers who immigrated in France, we constituted a corpus of two speakers doing oral tasks. Indeed, the first aim was to identify if there was a variation in the discourse according to the different tasks. We chose the following tasks: telling a memory, storytelling based on images, image description and free speech. Through the analysis of our corpus we try to determine the characteristics of the discourse of Portuguese speakers who immigrated in France more than thirty years ago. We focus here on the oral production of a sixty years old speaker, arrived in France in 1970, but also on her interactions with her mother who is eighty years old. The analysis of the verbal communication highlighted that two speakers (mother and daughter we spoke about above) have developed what we can call a common idiolect. This is what we would like to present in this article. We would like to characterize this idiolect and analyse it.
