Summary/Abstract: In this article, we will talk about language attrition, more precisely on Portuguese attrition for immigrants in the context of contact with French. First of all, we will briefly present our corpus constituted by video recordings of tasks proposed to Portuguese immigrants in France. The corpus is based on interaction tasks between two women, mother and daughter, who immigrated in 1970, and on oral tasks realised with one of them. Our publication deals with the analysis of the discourses permitting to identify the characteristics of L1 attrition according to the tasks. The two speakers, part of the same family, have idiolects which are interesting to analyse as they have common characteristics. Attrition is more a replacement than a complete loss. Being in francophone immersion and having few contacts with Portuguese language provoke the difficulty to access to the mother tongue. However, Portuguese doesn’t vanish, only parts of the phrase will be replaced without incidence on inter-comprehension. 240The analysis will try to determine which linguistics aspects are the most affected. Indeed, not all structural aspects of the language are touched upon the same way.
