Developing Students’ Mathematical Skills by Means of Multimedia Programmes

Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the development of mathematical skills among students of grades I–III. It presents the results of the authors’ own research related to the ways in which teachers of early school education apply modern technologies in their everyday work. Special emphasis is put upon the usage of multimedia software and educational games, as well as the Internet resources, by those teachers during mathematical classes. Furthermore, the text presents the most significant information concerning the development of mathematical skills among younger students as well as the support provided for the mathematical activity of students at the first educational stage.
