Summary/Abstract: The article approaches the theme of dying and connotations of the process addressing even the earliest titles created and proposes a theory that death in the very center of the gaming process when it comes to mechanics and design. Death is the most omnipotent force in the history of gaming as it pre – determines how people do play it, how they participate in the world given to them by game itself and define if they participate in it for bigger amounts of time. The text does not contain any ethical opinions and focuses solely on how storytelling is constructed and how it helps to create fulfilling gaming experience.
