ACTUALITY OF SECURITY STRATEGIES

Summary/Abstract: There are two main tasks of the any governance: welfare and security. For it, the state deserves to be and to use our support. The modern security studies has to provide right answers to both of them, while security is a prerequisites of the wellbeing (or a precondition of development – as European Union Security Strategy says). One of the most important instrument to accomplish this task in national security formulation, as well as the efforts aiming at the strategies’ “enforcement”. To day there is a sense of urgency of such kind of process - the formulation of the national (or unional) security strategy or of the strategic concepts. A review of the process alongside of the history seems to be beneficial to everybody involved or interested in today debates. This article is focused on the process from an European point of view on American historical experience. Next step will be focused on European (Romanian included) experience and other significant international actors.
