Summary/Abstract: The forming of specific requirements concerning attorneys and the importance of their honestywere considered in this article.The last item has been already shaped in the ancient Rome andremained till contemporary times as regulatory and corporate arrangements.The common elementsand differences between ancient and contemporary solutions, with special consideration of attorneystatus in polish criminal trial were showed.
