Instauration on artistic works by the methods of classical restoration

Summary/Abstract: The preservation and restoration of artistic works on paper aim to preserve, restore and approximate the original condition of the objects by isolating or removing the harmful factors. Precaution is the most accessible and secure way to protect works of art is often neglected. Failure to comply with the established norms of maintaing a climate conservation regime negatively affects the objects themselves. The works of art are of particular socio – cultural importance as an integral part of the cultural life of society. They carry the aesthetic and cultural values of the time they are created. They reflect the stylistic features and the accompanying changes. Any interference can reduce to some extent their authentic value and uniqueness. In poor quality of the paper-base , we encounter problems that require practical experience and skills in the field of restoration.The presented work on the object, which is a portrait of a beautiful woman, aims to demonstrate by the method of classical (manual) restoration, how it is restored and preserved by a suitable restoration and conservation activity.
