In Search of a Worthy Man – Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Spiritual Profile and its Pedagogical Relevance

Summary/Abstract: In 1964, Bogdan Nawroczyński published the article “Szukajmy człowieka” [“Let’s Look for the Human”] in “Kwartalnik Pedagogiczny”[“The Pedagogical Quarterly”]. Once again, he tried to address the issue ofthe effectiveness of educational impact. After referring to several scientific findings, Nawroczyński comes to the conclusion that the most important educational method is an attractive example of a mature personal pattern. The issues of this presentation conform with the methodological concept of B. Nawroczyński. Its aim is to show the spiritual profile of Dietrich Bonhoeffer in the category of a personal pattern. The main problem of the presentation is the question what is the pedagogical relevance of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s spiritual profile. The main source literature is based on Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s letters from the Tegel prison, i.e. from 14th April 1943 to 26th April 1944. Conclusionsc ontain possible traits of mature personality.
