Summary/Abstract: The founding member of the Republic has designated the basic indication of modernization as culture and art. The new regime has tried to create a "new person" with everything and this rapid change has shown itself together with the art of paintings. It is a period in which the Republic does not progress on the basis of the people's principles, and all the facilities that enable institutionalization are mobilized. The pursuit of 'national art' under the auspices of the state was carried out by intellectuals and artists. In this research, the effects of the national artistic efforts made by the political policies of the Republican period on the Turkish painting art were investigated. The nature of the activities carried out within the framework of the art politics of power and the effects on the art environment in the period were examined. In addition, between 1930-1950, which constitutes the borders of the research, the relationship between the understanding of art and the ideology of the Republican period has been examined in which dynamics influence the ideological use of painting art.
