Summary/Abstract: The study is of informational nature and it concerns the therapies used in autism apart from nutrition factors or their indirect influence. The discussed issues result from both the author’s own observations made for several years and a review of literature. It can be concluded that the foundations of autistic dysfunctions consist not only in nutrition problems but also in the processes which lead to them, e.g. metabolic disorders, inflammations, disturbed methylation, presence of toxins. Supporting diagnostics is presented in the article as well as the supplementation of major components providing therapeutic benefits. Due attention is drawn to skilful interpretation of research results and to the application of appropriate nutrition and supplementation therapy.
