Summary/Abstract: This paper proposes to present the restoration and conservation techniques and methods of a big pot belonging to phase III(C) of Wietenberg culture, discovered at the spot Bacăinţi - Obreje (Şibot commune). After an overview of the site where the pot was unearthed, followed depiction of the production manner of such an artefact and details about the restoration and conservation phases carried out within the specialized laboratory of the museum. In a first phase of restoration was conducted the mechanical and chemical cleaning of the ceramics, until total removal of soil depositions and of limeous nature from the surface but also from the adjoining areas between the fragments. After drying of the shards at ambient temperature, was conducted the assembling of fragments with PVA adhesive without plasticizer, the operation starting from the rim to the lower area of the pot. Due to some spacing in the upper area of the vessel, following the assembling, we proceeded to tightening with packing cords until perfect bonding of the whole ensemble. Next, followed remaking of the lower area of the pot and filling in of gaps with plaster using the method of inside imprint on modeling clay mould.
