The political dimension of aesthetic experience and the declining discourses

Summary/Abstract: The current paper wishes to shed light on the aspect literary discourses and their relationship to the so-called crisis of the social sciences and the humanities. As its title suggests, the paper focuses on the concept of aesthetic experience. We will also discuss the social, economic, and political relevance of literary studies by looking at a series of diverse (and recent) publications which stem both from the art world (theoretical inputs) and from real-life intellectual or cultural practices.
