Summary/Abstract: The article examines the role of political euphemisms in political communication in the development of the image of the friend and the enemy. The meaning of the terms political correctness, political euphemisms, doublespeak is also clarified. The manipulative power of euphemisms and dysphemisms is revealed through the representation of several patterns, analyzing their impact.
