Analysis of Social Networks’ Relations

Summary/Abstract: The paper studies three main sociology theories on the establishment and maintenance of interpersonal relationships: The Small World phenomenon, the theory on the strong and weak relationships and the one on hemophilia. These have been viewed in the context of contemporary social online networks with the main objective to be able to compare them with previous results in the area and their actualization. The object of research are the online social networks which in their appearance and form present a precedent in the field of Sociology and as such introduce some new nuances in the traditional concept of social networks and interpersonal relationships. The role of language in the maintenance of close and distant relationships on the Internet is also studied.
