Summary/Abstract: Media is everywhere, is knocking at the door, puts flyers in our mailbox, gets into our homes by radio frequencies, and sweeps away the obstacles to speaks to us directly even through the television screens. Media is like this, speaks about everything, because is itself everything, knows all, speaks about all – and why should not we say it – becomes almighty. The one, who is patronized by media, becomes successful. It is also a certain path of the career, if one is taken into account. That is why there is the hysteria surrounding the media success. Is the word of a music critic able to permeate the media or he ends also under the authority of it? We try to answer this question. In our research, we are evoking the beautiful memory of László Ferenc, who was an eminent musicologist, and through his music critics we are arguing, wondering on the fate of the present’s music.
