Summary/Abstract: The Romanian population of the Banat, Siebenbürgen, the Crişana, Maramureş and of the Bukowina was confronted – partly over centuries – with the ‘Austrian’-German language due to the Austrian Administration. In consequence a lot of loan-words or foreign words were included especially – but not only – in the Romanian dialects of those areas, which have been used partly up to the Fifties of the 20th century, some termini until now. In this study the author refers to the direct influence on the Romanian language concerning the sectors: military, administration, social welfare, economy, business, trade, household, etc. On the other hand, the author describes also the lexical interferences in the Romanian language used by Romanians who came to Austria during the last years and stayed here.
