Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt at a rhetorical analysis of postulates presented in public space during the so-called „black march,” which was a demonstration for the defense of reproductive rights of Polish women. The collected material features a multilayered representation of rhetorical tools and strategies used in slogans; it also displays the wealth of their symbolism, metaphorical references and language innovations. The results of the analysis show an array of the persuasive skills of the demonstrators and give an insight into the state of public discourse.
