Summary/Abstract: During the foreign language teaching process the functional integrity of speaking and writing skills has great importance in order to be able to communicate in written or oral ways and also to increase the efficiency of the teaching process. The written language is differantiate from the spoken language in terms of being more formal and concrete teaching aid in permanent learning. In the research conducted the frequency of capitalization of the reasons of this frequency in Russian writing language of Turkish students learning Russian is studied. With this purpose, a voluntary group of students was dictated a test in order to be able to evaluate the students’ tendency to use capital letters in the written language. The analyse of this test showed that the native language knowledge has an important influence on the language studied. The descriptive analysis of the obtained data from the dictate is the projection of this thought, that has been conveyed throughout the study. With this study concluded that, teaching a foreign language with a comparative perspective can be effective and useful from avoiding possible mistakes.
