Summary/Abstract: This article presents the key aspects of safety management in rail transport. The scope of the article covers the most important elements of a functioning management system for rail transport in connection with the provision of efficient and effective safety management system. The authors of the article drew attention to these factors, the permanent development can significantly improve the safety of rail transport in Europe.
