Kalam as a Concept and Theological Approaches to The Concept

Summary/Abstract: “Kalam” is one of the basic elements of the language in the process of communication. So it must be given emphasis to the aspects that occur in the language of kalam. In this way we become aware that “kalam” is something which can be understood by putting into words. In this context, we firstly must examine that characteristics of human “kalam”. After that conclusions we reached must be discussed with the divine nature of “kalam”. This article examines different perspectives about the nature of “kalam” in the context of its etymological and theological meanings.
