Summary/Abstract: The origin of psychogenic infertility is originally psychological exclusively. The latest research suggest a number of relations between psychogenic infertility and personality factors, stress, individual’s experiences, and even transgenerational patterns. It is necessary to distinguish the particular mechanism which is responsible for infertility problems. Psychotherapy as a creative process takes from cognitive linguistics, social constructionism, and utilizes the fullness of metaphoric communication. Techniques of systemic therapy are very useful in health problems, especially when there is a strong stigma associated with disease, e.g. unexplained infertility. The paper covers therapeutic process of the couple with infertility problem. Metaphors, reformulation of the problem, narration and behavioural techniques were used. The described model of explaining the mechanisms of disorders and problem solutionis safe and it strengthens resources from the couple’s point of view.
