Summary/Abstract: Sex coaching is a process focused on development which is in line with the client’s objectives regarding sex life and erotica. Sex coaching is a young discipline dating back to the 1990s. It has originated from the very short period of medical counselling offered by urologists to patients suffering from sexual disorders. Currently, Google search for “sex coaching” and “Poland” finds 1,460,000 results. The analysis of the information on sex coaching was based on medical and psychological data base search, Internet research using the Google engine, as well as contents of relevant glossy magazine articles. Each time the key words included: sex coaching or coaching and sex. In the field of sex coaching there is no structured knowledge, nor legal regulations specifying the coaching work in this respect and what qualifications a sex coach should have. The line between psychosexual therapy and sex coaching is still unclear for the recipients of the services. Regulations in the scope of applicable ethical standards fall short, too.
