Summary/Abstract: During the past few decades, the role of the IMF in the world economy has been gradually diminishing. It was caused by the process of globalization of the economy. The last financial crisis has confirmed that there is a need to reform the IMF. The aim of this article is to identify the causes of these reforms, their implementation, and the characteristics of the reforms of the quota and lending activities of the Fund, which were undertaken during the period of 2010–2016.
