Theme of Russian laughter

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with Russian laughter from the point of view of linguo-culturology. The author analyzes predominantly Russian anecdotes and divides them according to individual thematic groups. This leads to forming a certain ethno-cultural hierarchy of Russia and based on such division it is possible to specify the characteristics of Russia, the way it differs from other countries and make the knowledge of the Russian national character more objective. This further enables a closer and more exact knowledge of Russian culture, deepens its perception and reveals the way the Russian perceive themselves in the context of Russian laughter.
